PlayStation 2 version

On the info screen that appears before playing Sonic the Hedgehog, press the following buttons:

JP2 Version (default): , , , , , , , , , . (a chime will sound)
JP Version: , , , , , , . (a chime will sound, and JP will appear at the top-right of the screen)
US Version: Unknown
EU Version: , , , , , , , . (a chime will sound, and EU will appear at the top-right of the screen)

PC Version

On the info screen that appears before playing Sonic the Hedgehog, press the following buttons:

The Z button can be found and changed in the options menu that can be opened before starting the game.

Unlock all Games and Hints (PC version only)

In the SETTING.INI file (located at %APPDATA%\SEGA\MegaCollectionPlus), directly under [ETC], add this text:

SELECT_ALL_HINTS=1
SELECT_ALL_GAMES=1

Configurer.exe Controller bug (PC version only)

The Configurater.exe has an issue that makes Sonic Mega Collection main menu move left and also make Sonic move left in game, but can be easily fixed by the following.

In the SETTING.INI file (located at %APPDATA%\SEGA\MegaCollectionPlus), directly under [KEYCONFIG_1P] and [KEYCONFIG_2P], delete all entries:

BTN_AL
Then after saving the changes, right click on SETTING.INI, select Properties and check Read only. This will fix the issue and also stop the configurater reverting the changes you just made to controls.
