Feb. 2, 1994 - Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is released in North America for the Sega Genesis. Groundhog day is redubbed "Hedgehog Day." In addition, Sonic the Hedgehog Boom, a Sonic CD and Sonic Spinball soundtrack, is released.
Feb. 4, 2002 - Sonic Advance is released in North America for the Game Boy Advance
Feb. 4, 2004 - Triple Threat: Sonic Heroes Vocal Trax, a music CD containing the vocal songs from Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure, is released in Japan. In addition, Sonic X begins its syndicated run on CiTV, a British children's network.
Feb. 6, 2004 - Sonic Heroes is released in Europe to all 128-bit era consoles, excluding the Sega Dreamcast.
Feb. 12, 2002 - Sonic Adventure 2: Battle is released in North America for the Nintendo Gamecube.

March 14, 1993 - Sega sponsors Formula 1's Williams team for the 1993 season. Sonic's gloves and trademark red sneakers are painted on the car, positioned to suggest that Sonic's feet are at the pedals.
