The Sonic the Comic Mailing List is an electronic mailing list for discussion of Sonic the Comic.
History
The list's original owner was Dave Bulmer.[1][2] Other list administrators/moderators were Ed Reynolds and Tom Huxley ("Doctor Zachary"), who ran the fansite STC: STEM (Sonic the Electronic Magazine) and who subsequently founded the Sonic the Comic Online fan-continuation webcomic.
Sonic the Comic creators Nigel Kitching, Mark Eyles and Roberto Corona[3] participated in the group.
The list was hosted by OneList[1] and by eGroups, prior to transferring to Yahoo Groups.

13711 | [6] | Nigel Kitching Nov 3 2004 | Re: SEGAs input | Kitching talks about Sega's hands-off approach ("The organisation of Sega Europe did seem to be a bit chaotic and as time went by seemed to show little interest in the contents of the comic. Also it came to the point the we on the comic had been involved with Sonic and co longer than any of the people we came into contact with."), the link between Sega and Copyright Promotions, and the way that the book Stay Sonic was referenced. The idea that Sonic should be a freedom fighter came from someone from Sega, before he was aware of the SatAM cartoon. |
