The Hyudoro (ヒュードロ) is a ghost enemy found in the pyramids of Sandopolis Zone. They harmlessly hover around the air, but as soon as the lights go off, lots of them appear, and proceed to attack the player. They can be scared away with a spin, but more ghosts will appear in the process. They won't stop appearing unless the lights are turned on again. The name of this enemy resembles a noise that a ghost would make.
When Sonic and Tails first enter the pyramid, the Hyudoros are trapped in a Capsule by Dr. Eggman after a serious amount of effort[1], and are inadvertently set free by the heroes. When Knuckles enters later, they are already free and will immediately attack him at the start. They are the first known enemies in the series to not be affiliated with the evil genius.
Hyudoros released from a capsule by Sonic.
