The Spike Stomp, known as Spike Stomping (スパイクストンピング) in Japan, is a move performed by Miles "Tails" Prower in Sonic Frontiers. It is his variant of the Stomp normally used by Sonic.

Overview

The Spike Stomp can be unlocked in the game's Skill menu for 5 Skill Points. When unlocked, the player can then press Circle (PS4/PS5)/B (XB1)/A (Switch) in mid-air to make Tails transform his blaster into a pile bunker and come crashing down to attack enemies or press down switches, creating a shockwave when he lands. However, unlike Sonic's version of the move, the Spike Stomp has a short delay before Tails drop down, and he cannot rebound into the air if Circle/B/A is held.

Quotes

Transform the blaster into a pile bunker and launch a diving attack.
