Sonic the Hedgehog - "Hero of the Year"
Lined up outside a building deep in Metropolis Zone, Bob Beaky (Who is a dressed-up Sonic) and a confused Tails wearing a brown trench coat. When Tails asks Sonic why he gets a costume and why he only gets a coat, Sonic tells Tails how he is infamous and anyone can recognize him, but "as long as he keeps his tails hidden, he could be anybody." Bob, among others, are lined up for the Hero of the Year award, while Tails thinks it is a trap.
After Bob and Tails get past the guards and take their seat, the winner was announced shortly after, which turned out to be Sonic! However, the win is short-lived, as the announcer thinks that Sonic was unable to show up. Sonic corrects him by taking off the disguise, making the crowd there amazed. Sonic walks up on stage to take his trophy, and says he has something to say. He says to the crowd that Robotnik is wrong to think he has control of Mobius and, although the group of Freedom Fighters is small, it is only the beginning. He says that more and more people will join them, and warns Robotnik to watch out for him and the others. Meanwhile, the crowd cheers like crazy.
Suddenly, as Tails said earlier, a trap came down and enclosed Sonic in a container of some sort, while the announcer tells the crowd to 'witnes the demise of Sonic the Hedgehog,' as Mega Mack (See Sonic the Comic 010)
