The Phantom Rush (ファントムラッシュ) is a move performed by Sonic the Hedgehog in Sonic Frontiers. It is a Skill that must be activated by consecutively building up combos in combat.

Overview

The Phantom Rush is the second Skill that can be unlocked in the game's Skill menu, and is unlocked for three Skill Points. When unlocked, consecutively attacking enemies can build up a combo meter, and when it reaches its maximum, the Skill will automatically activate. When it's active, Sonic's attack power will be boosted by 20%, and his attack animations will show him moving so fast that multiple images of Sonic will appear on the screen, hence its name. The combo meter will gradually drain over time once active, and the Skill's effects will last until it drains out completely, at which point Sonic's attack power returns to normal.

Quotes

When the combo meter is maxed out, Phantom Rush is activated, resulting in attacks being 1.2 times more powerful. Phantom Rush lasts until the combo meter reaches 0.
