Tropical Resort was one of the two first levels of Sonic Colours (the other being Sweet Mountain) to be revealed. The appearance of the stage was described by Nintendo Power as "futuristic Las Vegas in outer space". It appears on the game's box art and is assumed to be the first stage in the game for both versions. In the Wii version, Eggman periodically makes announcements over the PA system.
