The Red Rex (レッドレックス) is an enemy in the night stages of Sonic Unleashed and one of Dark Gaia's minions.
They are similar to a Little Rex in terms of appearance, but they are colored red with cyan markings, and are a little faster, stronger and more aggressive to that of a regular Little Rex. Despite being stronger, they are still among the weakest of Dark Gaia's minions, and are disposed of just as easily. Just like their blue/green cousins, Sonic can pick them up with both hands and use them as weapons.
