Sonic Classic Collection

Sonic Classic Collection is a upcoming Nintendo DS compilation featuring several Mega Drive/Genesis Sonic games. The ability to save mid-game and resume from that point has been added.

The compilation was confirmed to be in development November 11th of 2009 when the compilation was listed, along with the included game list, on the bbfc website.[1] On November 18th Nintendo of Australia posted a news article which revealed the compilation was to be released on the Nintendo DS.[2]

Sega's Official Confirmation

On December 1, 2009, Sega announced officially that Sonic Classics Compilation would be coming to the Nintendo DS. While their game list is largely unchanged, some fans have speculated as to whether or not the Sonic and Knuckles "lock-on" feature would be supported, as no information on that has been given. Sega also announced extra content in the game.

This marks the first time a classic Sonic compilation has hit a portable game system for Nintendo.
