Gameplay
Players race around a track against three opponents for a top position collecting rings and power-ups along the way. The direction on the directional pad can use rings collected on the track as a speed boost. Rings can also be lost due to collisions. Both buttons on the Game Gear are used, one for accelerating, and the other for braking.
Power-ups
Power-ups are scattered throughout each track, with a variety of abilities.
- Springs: These all launch the player up into the air, increasing your speed.
- Blue Monitor: Makes the player invincible for a short period of time. The BGM during invincibility is based on "Sonic - You Can Do Anything" from Sonic the Hedgehog CD.
- Red Monitor: Speed Boost.
