Overview
The Mogu is robotic mole bearing a slight resemblance to Burrobot from Sonic the Hedgehog and Grounder from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, found in Secret Base Zone, Egg Rocket Zone, and Cosmic Angel Zone. Lacking any offensive capability, these Badniks simply pop out of holes in the ground (like the Madmole), attempting to hurt the player when walked straight into. When they pop out, either perform any attack, such as a Spin Jump or a Spin Dash, to destroy them.
Name origin
Mogu's name is derived from "mogura", the Japanese word for mole.
