The Bombaberry (ボンバベリイ)[1] is a Badnik created by Dr. Eggman in Sonic the Hedgehog Triple Trouble, which can be found in Great Turquoise Zone and Sunset Park Zone.
Overview
These Badniks fly up and down in wave-like patterns, holding a bomb which will be released when Sonic or Tails' X coordinate approaches theirs. Because of the bomb, they can't be hit from below: the player must hit them with a Spin Jump either from the side or from the top. Once they drop their bombs, however, they are completely defenseless, and thus they can be hit from below.
Like other robots in 8-bit Sonic games, no animal friends pop out of Bombaberries when they are destroyed. Whether these Badniks canonically don't contain organic batteries, or the escaping critters simply aren't shown due to programming limitations, is not known.
