General bugs
Jukebox background corruption
When playing music in the unlockable Jukebox, some samples will cause the scrolling background to corrupt at the top of the screen.
Not fixed in any version.
Level-specific bugs
Final Zone boss
In Final Zone, getting the final hit on Dr. Eggman early in the round will allow a player to hit him again while the piston slowly retracts. This action loops his hit counter from 0 to 255, and interrupts the defeat sequence, making Eggman restart his attack pattern. The only thing that can be done at this point is for the player to fight on until Time Over or allow themself to be killed and restart the stage.
Not fixed in any version.
Fall out of the Special Stage
Sometimes, the player will fall out of the Special Stage for no reason whatsoever. It is unknown why this occurs. Since the Special Stage wasn't ported directly from the original, no "glitch" objects appear outside of the stage, so the only way to exit the Special Stage is to reset the game.
Not fixed in any version.
