Desert Palace is the fourth Zone in the Competition Mode of Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Overview
Desert Palace is very similar to Sandopolis Zone in Sonic & Knuckles, with a large loop, a quicksand pit, and a collapsible sand bridge. It's not too hard to navigate and can be finished by just holding right and jumping occasionally.
Like in Azure Lake Zone, pressing the button will activate a Spring trap that will launch players back through the loop for a few seconds.
