Round select
On the title screen, press . This cannot be achieved in the Master System port of the game as there is no button on the controller, so instead set memory address D140 to FF on the title screen and press to access it.
Build date
Similar to other games developed by Aspect, the game's build date can be located at ROM address $C0:
GG SONIC 96 Ver E3 ROM 1996/05/01 @SEGA /Aspect Co.,Ltd
This build date is wrong - it claims to be an E3 demo ROM, and was likely left unchanged during development as it is the same in all released prototypes of the game. The "910" prototype is bit-for-bit identical to the final game, so its final build date should be September 7th, 1996.
