After defeating the Death Ball, the player will encounter a Capsule that will end the Act with a results tally.

The player then advances to the right of the screen and goes straight to The Doomsday Zone regardless of whether or not they have all of the Chaos Emeralds, skipping the Great Eggman Robo.

If the player goes to the final battle via the level select (by selecting Doomsday Act 2 with debug mode enabled), they will find that it is really incomplete, only having a background, a few Rings, no title card, and various poses of the Great Eggman Robo laid out throughout the level. There's nowhere to stand on, so they'll fall and die over and over.
