Unawakening Float is the level theme of Night Palace in Sonic and the Secret Rings and twelfth track on the soundtrack album. The lyrics are performed by runblebee, who did the vocals for most other songs in the game.
The song title alludes to the level not only being at night and having dream-like segments with glass walkways, but from the magic carpet ride in the middle of the level.
Lyrics
Must I float away?
Will I ever awake?
As far as I know
Nothing is for sure right now
For all I've known
Unpowered in the light of now
Must I float away?
Will I ever awake?
The fault is mine
For it is I who gave this heart
Much has dawned
In this place that has no sun
Must I float away?
Will I ever awake?
Must I float away?
Will I ever awake?
(Instrumental)
Must I float away?
Will I ever awake?
Must I float away?
Will I ever awake?
(repeat from start)
