Synopsis
The Official Cookbook opens with an introduction written from Sonic's perspective, with the book being an in-universe collaboration between his friends as well as Dr. Eggman sneaking in his own recipes. The introduction is followed by various cooking guides from Omochao including an explanation of the speed and difficulty ratings, dietary and personal restrictions, and an explanation of various ingredients that are used by the recipes in the book.
All 73 recipes in the book take inspiration from various aspects of the Sonic the Hedgehog universe and open with flavour text written by a character that is associated with the recipe (including characters from IDW Publishing's Sonic the Hedgehog comic series), though for some recipes Omochao may mention safety and dietary precautions. Each recipe has a list of ingredients and a guide on how to cook and prepare the recipe, with speed and difficulty rated by Rings as well as various time estimates, the number of servings and dietary notes.
