Game the move was first introduced?

Wasn't the move first introduced in Sonic Adventure 2, as an extension of the roll? Or am I remembering this all wrong? I vaguely recall Sonic Advance having a slide-move, too. - SoNick (talk) 02:42, 8 April 2024 (EDT)

I really don't think they have. They do have the Lightspeed Dash (requiring the Light Speed Shoes found in the sewers of Station Square) and the Homing Attack (a default attack), but not stuff like Drift, Slides, Stomp or Wall Jump. Slides is really the exception there, because it appeared a little bit before the Boost Era in Shadow the Hedgehog, but the Adventure games had the Spin Dash and not Slides (which is most often associated with Drift, also not present in those games). Please take a look at Sonic_Adventure#Sonic_the_Hedgehog, Sonic_Adventure_2#Sonic_the_Hedgehog or other external references for more information about the moves and upgrades in the Adventure games. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 06:30, 8 April 2024 (EDT)
Wasn't there sliding in Heroes? JaxTH (talk) 08:21, 8 April 2024 (EDT)
The short answer is no, Sliding is not part of the Sonic Heroes moveset. Also, the gameplay in Sonic Heroes is very distinct from other 3D Era Sonic games, as you play with a team and never with individual characters. Please take a look at Team Sonic, Team Dark or other external references for more information about the available moves in Sonic Heroes. --SonicUnleashedPS2 (talk) 09:35, 8 April 2024 (EDT)
