Sonic the Hedgehog 2 HD is an effort to make a high-definition remake of the original Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The project was started by Vincent, and is currently being worked on by the community at Sonic Retro. The idea first came into view with a photo at the hoaxes section of the forums, and then someone made a new topic talking about the photo, and it became very huge news not too long afterward.
