Casinopolis article
You recently made an edit to Casinopolis article. I was the one that got rid of "themed" in the first sentence because later on down the same paragraph it says "it is a real Casino rather than a Casino-themed-zone." So I thought saying it was a Casino-themed stage in the first sentence was a little contradictory to what content was already there. That's why I got rid of it. I also added Action Stage because that's what levels are called in SA. --PicklePower 02:58, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but none of the other articles bother mentioning that it's a Action Stage. Sorry I didn't read the whole article before making the first change tho.--MathUser 15:23, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, that's something else that we need to fix, too. For the Casinopolis article, what if we just get rid of the mention that it's not a Casino-themed stage later on in the paragraph? It is a Casino-themed stage, really. --PicklePower 15:33, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
Sonic's Gameworld Prototype 0701
I've been having a few problems putting this in due to that I can't yet create pages but I've been playing Sonic's Gameworld and found these differences:
- No copyright and date screen.
- You can skip Options if not on the title page.
- The music is at a lower pitch and has slightly different instruments than the final
- The message says Let's go next floor! instead of Let's play a game!
- Robotnik is mis-spelt as Robotnick throughout the game.
- The message says Have you played Sonic's Toy Grab? instead of The Toy Drop is fun!
- The casino floor from the Japanese version is still there but glitched with a graphic of Robotnik's name on and unaccessable.
- The list of characters after the Diamond Maze game haven't been implemented yet.
- There is a delay between revealing the contents and controller the character in the Diamond Maze. The mini game is also harder due to this.
- There is a message if Robotnik won or lost (I won!, I lost!) that is not in the final.
- The drawing page hasn't been implemented yet.--Yawackhary 15:23, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I didnt have the final version so I could never compare the early version to the final version so I put all the prototypes on a single page. This is the page so you might want to put all the prototype info you find on it the way i did, have seperate sub-sections for each game. The same goes with Tails and the Musicmaker if you play it.--MathUser 16:26, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Deletion requests
Requesting a delete of all three versions of Image:S2dasm2007.zip, since they've been made redundant by Image:Sonic 2 (Split and Text by Xenowhirl).zip --Shobiz 12:11, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks --Shobiz 20:23, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
http://info.sonicretro.org/images/archive/b/b6/20080731224135%21Attractedring_s2.zip is redundant, requesting delete. --Shobiz 22:51, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Link to the page it is actually on. We need to see if the file is in use anywhere.--MathUser 23:42, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- It's Image:Attractedring s2.zip, the new version is in use but the old one is redundant. --Shobiz 14:19, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Wait, so you're saying you uploaded a new version on the same page? Well I think I might just leave that old image alone then. I think I would have to delete both Images to get rid of the one. People will prbably know enough to download the newest file anyway.--MathUser 16:18, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
A question
Sorry to bug you. I'm new here. I couldn't help but notice that I'm not allowed to make new pages. Is this just a temporary safety precaution to make sure no vandalism occurs or do you have to earn the right? --SonicAngel948 02:12, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- You need to become a full member before creating pages. To do that you have to make 20 worthwhile posts in the forum and then post in a special forum. If you are approved for full member then you can create pages. But you can edit pages in the meantime. If you are absolutely sure you are gonna fill out a page you can request it be made and I can start it and you can fill it out.--MathUser 02:33, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- That's sort of a strange rule. What do the forums have to do with the actual wiki? Shouldn't edits on the wiki count more? Is there any other way to earn the right? If not I guess I'll think about what I can say on the forum. I just wanted to create some song articles. I have to gather up some information first before I do anything. Do you guys have a Sandbox to practice in?
- On another note, I am an adminstrator on Bulbapedia, the Pokemon wiki. Doubt it's worth anything here but just thought I'd mention it. I hope I can contribute here as much as I do there. --SonicAngel948 03:21, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
What MathUser said isn't entirely correct. Right now, you're in Pending Membership. To gain Trail Membership, you have to post in the validation forum, telling us about why you want to join, more about yourself, etc. (there's a pinned topic in that forum containing guidelines). If you pass validation, you gain Trial Membership, and you can create new pages. --Shobiz 08:12, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- I thought that Validation forum don't open until you use your 20 posts. I remember some forum opening up for me after using 20 posts. Anyway, if it were up to me, the fact that your a administrator of another wiki would go far.--MathUser 12:35, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Your contributions are more than impressive. I'll be very happy to make you a full member--feel free to log in and out after I publish this message, and you should be set up. --Tweaker 23:12, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Magazine scans
In future, don't put a comma in the date for uploaded scans, because it'll create problems if we add categories for magazines by date. - Hivebrain 19:35, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
