Sonic Rush is a game from Sega for the Nintendo DS. It was released in November 2005.

The game is a 2D platformer in virtually all of the game, much like the Sega Genesis and Game Boy Advance titles in the series. However, the player, as well as the bosses, are fully polygonal. There is but a single part of the game where three-dimensional movement is possible. Both the top and bottom screens are used during Acts, and the player switches between them when they reach certain heights or depths. The Touch Screen has only one use in the game: Special Stages. When Sonic enters a Special Stage, it looks and feels quite similar to those from Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but you control him with the stylus. Also, there are balloons which fire Sonic into the air. When this happens, you must tap certain spots on the screen in order to get 5, 10, or 20 Ring bonuses. Finally, you can attack enemies by tapping them on the screen.

The two playable characters are Sonic the Hedgehog and Blaze the Cat. Though the adventures are completely different, they cross paths multiple times and play through the same Zones (though in a different order).
