The Eggpod, also known as the Egg-O-Matic or the Eggmobile, is a vehicle that Robotnik, and in Sonic & Knuckles, Eggrobo, use to move around. They do one of three things with the Eggpod:
- Fly away after being defeated (and in some cases, like with Drill Eggman, fly into the boss battle)
- Act as the cockpit for a boss
- Carry items (such as the Master Emerald in Sonic & Knuckles)
