The Blacksmith is an alternate reality doppelgänger of Miles "Tails" Prower, from the world of Sonic and the Black Knight. No other name for the character is mentioned within the game; Sonic and Caliburn simply refer to him in conversation as "Blacksmith".

Operating a smithy in Camelot Castle's town, the Blacksmith aids adventurers by forging new weapons on his anvil. The vulpine smith's craftsmanship is said to be the best in all the land. Sonic encountered the fox after bringing his sword to the castle town in order to have it sharpened before their meeting with the Lady of the Lake. Predictably, Blacksmith takes an interest in Caliburn, especially after finding out that it can talk. The repair work enables Sonic to use Caliburn's Soul Gauge moves.

After Sonic departs for Deep Woods, Blacksmith does not appear again in the SatBK story mode, but his workshop can be accessed by the options screen in order to upgrade Sir Percival, Sir Gawain, and Sir Lancelot's weapons.
