Sonic Jam is a pseudo-compilation of the 3 popular Mega Drive Sonic games Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles which was released on the Tiger Game.com. This game shares the same name as the Sega Saturn version, but the content is entirely different. It doesn't contain the entire games, rather it contains five levels inspired by those found in each of the respective games.
There are 3 selectable characters Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. All of them retain their moves from Sonic 2, Spin Dash is available and Tails can fly. Hovever, Knuckles cannot use his glide or wall climbing ability. No powerups introduced in Sonic 3 are available either. The method of entering Special Stages, and the actual Special stages are similar to that of Sonic 3.
