Sonic Mega Collection is a compilation of all the Sonic the Hedgehog Mega Drive/Genesis games for the Nintendo Gamecube. It uses a Mega Drive/Genesis emulator developed under the supervision of Sonic Team. It also features high resolution instruction manual art, and comic book scans. Unfortunately Sonic CD and Knuckles' Chaotix were not included due to emulation problems. Not due to size constraints as many believe. A similar version, Sonic Mega Collection Plus, was released for the Sony Playstation 2 and Microsoft X-Box in 2004.
