Roller is an enemy (Badnik) found in the video game, Sonic the Hedgehog. Rollers are robots modelled after armadillos.[1] They curl into a ball and attempt to run the player down. They are invulnerable in this state and cannot be attacked until they stop and unfold. If they are left alone they will roll up and move off the screen. If their path of travel is interrupted by a large gap they will jump over it. They can be defeated with a spin attack, freeing the animal trapped inside.
