Captain Plunder is a character in the Fleetway's Sonic the Comic. Leader of the Mystic Cave pirates (later "Sky Pirates"), he served as an anti-hero, occasionally helping Sonic the Hedgehog or Knuckles the Echidna, but usually in an attempt to find wealth and treasure.

Personality and traits
Plunder has a traditional black hat and eyepatch, along with a hook and a wooden right leg (with a wheel on the base). He was a very popular character, to the point of having his own stories, probably because he was more of nuisance prone to peculiar and funny situations than a threat.
Most of Captain Plunder's team of pirates were never named in the comics, save for his second in comand, the pirate ghost Filch, and the later additon of the strange cartoon character, Simpson.
