Game Introduction
After the SEGA logo appears, the game displays the Sofdec and ADX logos, as well as copyright information. This is not shown in the final release of the game, as the Sonic Team animatic plays after the SEGA logo shows up.
Pressing the Start Button on the Title Screen takes you straight to the Character Select screen.

- It's based off the Japanese Release.
- It's dated March 3, 1999, nearly 3 months after the Japanese release.
- It seems to have been made around the time work began on international versions.
The title screen has extra text at the bottom which translates to Taikenban.

Emerald Coast
The Kiki on the pier was removed and two Dash Panels have been added instead.
Almost all of the rising and falling spike poles have been removed.
An extra Dash Panel was added before the final loop.
