::Yes, the cover images are necessary. It shows at a glance what's available and what's not, and provides a nice visual collage of the history of the series. You may have a point however, Hive, on the non JUE covers. [[User:Overlord|Overlord]] 20:26, 17 June 2009 (CDT)

:::Yes, but do you need every cover? I think this plan should be taken: for games whose cover art differ from region to region, include ONE cover for each region with UNIQUE cover art. For all other games, include ONE cover. I can do that now, if that's what you want. - [[User:Andlabs|Andlabs]] 20:28, 17 June 2009 (CDT)

Revision as of 21:28, 17 June 2009

I moved the list of games Sonic Cameoed in to List of references to Sonic in video games. We don't need that section anymore. Plus, this way, we can have other sections for other cameos for him in other media. True_Dude 01:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Questionable Quality

File:Sonikkuadobentya2batoru.jpg

I have several Japanese boxes like this that, though the quality is less than ideal, show both sides of the cover. Worth uploading the rest? - Scarred Sun 16:04, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

You could upload them with a {{replace}} tag. - Hivebrain 18:31, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
Sure, why not, it's not like most of us could read japanese anyway so it don't matter if it is highly legible. It at least shows us what the case looks like. Wait, what about the spine? If it don't have the spine why not just upload the back and put that next to the higher quality front scan.--MathUser 18:44, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Hivebrain. Overlord 23:20, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Scans of PC games

OK, minor style thing that I think we'll probably run into with other PC games: I bought a copy of S3D PC off eBay without the box. Obviously, the booklet inside the jewel case would be the manual, but the back of the jewel case isn't really the back of the box or anything else in the traditional grid. What should we do with these? - Scarred Sun 20:32, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

I probably wouldn't bother scanning a featureless plastic CD case, for the same reason we don't scan the data side of a CD. If there are no pictures or writing, it isn't likely to be interesting to anyone. - Hivebrain 20:46, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, obviously. :P What I'm saying is that there is in fact pictures and writing on the back of these cases. I suppose in this case a picture is worth a thousand words. -Scarred Sun 21:16, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
In that case, I'd put the scan on the S3D page but not this page. - Hivebrain 04:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Page is quite large

This page takes a long time to load, and sometimes fails to load at all, because of the large number of images. Maybe we should remove the fourth columns for non-JP/EU/US things? They don't really serve the purpose of being a checklist like the other columns do, since they're open-ended and there's no indication of what scans are needed. - Hivebrain 19:41, 17 June 2009 (CDT)

Are the conver images even necessary? They're on the individual wiki pages as well as in Scarred Sun's cover project. - Andlabs 20:15, 17 June 2009 (CDT)
