Sonic Rush Adventure

Sonic Rush Adventure is a currently in-production sequel to Sonic Rush, which is being made for Nintendo DS. The game will feature at least three playable characters; Sonic the Hedgehog, Blaze the Cat, and the new character Marine the Raccoon. The Raccoon girl has unofficially been named "Rings" by the Sonic fan community, though there is no reason to believe she'll end up carrying this name.

The game is announced to have a "Pirates" theme; in lieu of that, a new villain has also been announced, under the name of Captain Whiskers. Keeping in mind how "whiskers" is another name for a mustache, the possibility exists that Captain Whiskers has some sort of relation to Dr. Eggman, much like Eggman Nega. This seems to be the case, as Eggman is mentioned in the OST for the game being sold on Sega Direct.
