IRC is a real-time internet communications protocol which was created by a man named Jarkko "WiZ" Oikarinen at the University of Oulu, Finland in 1988. Most Sonic websites have a chatroom and a great deal of these have an IRC channel on an IRC network somewhere. Here is a list of some channels in the Sonic Community.
- Because of the way the wiki works, channel articles cannot be created with # in the URL. However in the articles you can make it look like #channel by adding the nowiki HTML tag (this is only necessary if # would otherwise be the first non-whitespace character on the line).
- To include a channel in the list, add [[Category:IRC]] somewhere within the article.
