IRC is a real-time internet communications protocol which was created by a man named Jarkko "WiZ" Oikarinen at the University of Oulu, Finland in 1988. Most Sonic websites have a chatroom and a great deal of these have a IRC channel on a IRC network somewheres, here is a list of some channels in the Sonic Community.
