The Takoko (タココ)[1] is an enemy that appears in Sonic Labyrinth, encountered in the Labyrinth of the Sea.
They are immobile octopus robots that sit atop grey pedestals with blue eyes, firing sparks in all directions. The sparks inflict damage, but direct contact with the bot is harmless. Occasionally they will spill oil slicks that send Sonic out of control if he slips on them.
Their name is derived from "tako", which is the Japanese word for "octopus".
