The SlingshotMedia:TeamSonicRacing Steam manual.pdf^[1], known as the Line Boost (ラインブースト^[2]) in Japan, is a move that is used in Team Sonic Racing. It is a team-based driving technique that supports the user's teammates.

Overview

During a team race, the team member who has the highest position out of their team will leave behind yellow tire tracks in the wake of their vehicle that are only visible to their teammates, and will reach a certain length of the track until they fade away. Should these teammates drive on the trail, their vehicles will gradually build up a boost, which will activate once they leave the trail. The longer they stay within the trail, the more powerful the boost will become. This technique is useful for giving lagging teammates a chance to catch up and overtake their rivals, and will fill the Ultimate Meters of both the user and their teammates, which is important for charging up their Team Ultimates.
