Trying to upload music tracks to the wiki is more trouble than it's worth. I e-mailed two admins to get one track uploaded for Club SEGA, and nothing came of it (one replied, but I didn't hear back afterwards). There's got to be a better way to do this, surely? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mainman (talk contribs) 21:29, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Rush Bosses

I did take quite a long snoop around the various sites which one would expect to have the boss name information (if it existed) before starting these articles - alas, to no avail. I believe that it may be the case that the bosses do not actually have official names - and in such cases we actually have a procedute in place; see Category:Sonic the Hedgehog (16-bit) Bosses and Category:Sonic Rivals 2 Bosses. This is why I used the titles I did. While your "sensible suggestions" certainly are nicer-looking than "Eggman/Nega (Water Palace Boss)", it's unwise to run the risk of your average reader mistaking our made-up names for official ones, which they very much are not. Frozen Nitrogen (Talk) 17:43, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

...in fact, maybe we ought to do what's done on Template:S1MDOmni - have no names at all on the template. Frozen Nitrogen (Talk) 17:46, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Ah, misinformation, the only thing worse than no information at all. I've since corrected the heading to read 'Official names not known', but I'll change the contents to generic 'Boss #' titles so that there's no further room for misinterpretation (It's not viable to use the 'no titles' standard set in your example since we don't yet have a complete set of boss images). Changed boss titles in the template to the zone names for now. Please do not change them unless you find a better solution, such as finding out the official names. SOTI 18:02, 11 May 2010 (UTC)
Good call; you've pre-emptively complied with the new standard for unknown boss names. Also, if anybody repeats my mistake in the future, we can refer them here. Mainman (Talk) 21:54, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Art categories

Use Template:Art. - Andlabs 14:43, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Also don't use art categories for fan art; those should just have the Fan Artwork category since the template says "official". - Andlabs 14:45, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
I've been adhering to this since yesterday (I went on a spree of finding images in wrong or unspecific categories and putting them where they belong), but I fumbled it today when editing File:YardleyScourge.png and made about three useless edits. I probably shouldn't start editing again until the caffeine kicks in. Mainman (Talk) 14:51, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
