Team Blast is a move that was introduced and can only be used in Sonic Heroes. It can be activated by pressing the (GCN)/White (Xbox)/ (PS2/PS3) button once the gauge on the top right corner of the screen is full. It can be filled up by attacking enemies or collecting rings. The attack involves all three characters joining together and combining their powers.

There are four different Team Blasts (five, counting Team Super's). Although each have their own unique look and special effect, they all do the same basic thing which is to destroy all nearby enemies.

-Team Blast is a move in Sonic Heroes, in which the team you play as strike nearby enemies, usually destroying them in one hit. It is also effective against the bosses aswell. The move varies upon the Teams. Team Sonic allows Sonic when in the lead position, to strike the enemies with a higher force. Team Dark freezes time, which is useful when getting a higher time bonus. Team Chaotix gives everyone on the Team a level up and gives you rings for the amount of enemies destroyed, allowing a higher ring bonus if done properly. Team Rose gets the Invincibility power up immediatly after the Team Blast.
