Sky Chase Zone is the first Zone in the prototype that cannot be beaten under normal circumstances. Wing Fortress Zone music also plays here despite its own music already being implemented.

Rings can be found just before the Wing Fortress appears, which then appear to move up into the sky with the Wing Fortress.

Another group of Rings are found at the bottom of the Wing Fortress, moving up with it and then stopping. It is likely these Rings along with the cluster shown above were removed as they broke the illusion of the Wing Fortress flying by.

Sky Chase Zone cannot be completed through normal means. Sonic does not automatically walk to the right at the end of the stage, and attempting to do so manually leads him to a wall. The background scrolling stops too, letting the player admire the tiling error.
