This version is an enhanced version of Sonic Mega Collection on the Nintendo GameCube, and now includes Game Gear games, updated illustrations, and a new menu interface, and a mid-game saving feature (Xbox only), which were not in the orginal Nintendo GameCube version.

It also includes some additional features, like game manuals from all the Genesis and Game Gear games, and the covers of the Sonic the Hedgehog Archie Comic, offical illustrations of all the Sonic characters (which has been updated since the GameCube version to accomdate new images from new Sonic game releases) and Sonic Heroes movies, from story board, production, to finished.
