Preview - Sonic the Hedgehog is an three page preview of Sonic the Hedgehog in the May 1991 issue of the Brazilian magazine Videogame. There is no translation of the magazine avaialable, but there are plenty of interesting images on the pages. The first page has a prototype map of Green Hill Zone and includes the rolling ball and purple flowers. There are also other prototype images on the page. The second page shows a few prototype images also, and the background of Labyrinth Zone is obviously different. The last page shows a very different Spring Yard Zone and indicates its prototype name is Sparkling Zone, a fitting name as sparkles can be seen throughout the level. Scrap Brain Zone is also different as the level is referred to as Clock Work Zone.
