Espio the Chameleon is a fictional character in the Sonic the Hedgehog universe who has appeared in several video games. He is a member of the Chaotix group.
The 16 year old chameleon first appeared in the 32X game Knuckles' Chaotix. He later appeared in the arcade game Sonic the Fighters (Sonic Championship). He also appeared in the 2003 game Sonic Heroes.
In the comic, Espio is a bonafide hothead, which causes friend Charmy Bee to remind him of his manners.
In the games, he is a detective and ninja who works with Charmy and Vector the Crocodile as the team's speed member.
