Sonyc is a 1995 fan game for MSX2 computers and Nintendo Gameboy Advance. Of the two versions, the MSX2 build seems to be the more developed.

Gameboy Advance Version
The first level of this version was originally believed to be unbeatable. This has been proven to be false. However, due to this, Boycott Advance Savestates were made to grant you access to other levels. So far savestates have been created for the Ruins and the Wood levels, courtesy of Stealth. The graphics are glitched when using Visual Boy Advance, so it is best to use Boycott Advance.
MSX2 Version
The game takes place through 4 zones divided into 3 phases. The first zone has a grassland theme similar to those found in almost all Sonic games. The second level is a cavern that stays frozen despite the numerous magma rivers flowing through it. The third level is another one of those ancient ruins type levels filled with sand, stone, and waterfalls. The final level takes place in a forest that is similar to Wood Zone, the cut level from Sonic 2. The bonus level of the game seems to take place in some oversized children's playroom.
