Despite predating the GameCube 10-08 build, this prototype uses the final title screen. The sole difference from the final PlayStation 2 build is that the "Press START button" text is in all caps and still features the pulsing button icon from the GameCube version.

The language select is mostly functional, albeit with differences:

  • Selection is buggy in that German can only be selected after Spanish despite being listed after French.
  • A Korean language option is available. This language is only available in the final PC and Korean PS2 versions, and is displayed with a different font.
  • The English voice language option is untranslated.

FMVs

FMV streaming has problems in this build in that the FMVs stutter and feature corruption at the bottom of the screen. Additionally, FMVs which have subtitles present display the subtitles in black boxes.

Audio comparisons

Almost all songs are absent in this build, with the only level themes on the disc being those that were present in E3 and TGS builds of the game (Seaside Hill, Rail Canyon and Bullet Station). The Speed Up and Stage Clear themes have been added since the E3 builds and play as intended.
