The Life Belt is an upgrade available to Big the Cat in Sonic Adventure. This green and black floatation device allows Big to fish while in the water itself. Sonic Adventure is the only game where Big fishes, and so this upgrade has not appeared anywhere since.
Sonic Adventure
- Purpose: Lets Big float and fish while floating. Pressing the
button will allow Big to dive. - Location: Mystic Ruins Adventure Field, just before the entrance to the Ice Cap Action Stage. The Life Belt is sitting next to the icy lake.
- Requirements: None.
- Required For: Ice Cap; you can't get across the icy pool and into the stage without it. The Belt is later necessary in Hot Shelter, as there's nowhere to stand and fish from in the filled-up reservoir room.
