Act 1
The background uses a different palette.
Graphics start corrupting when Eggman and Knuckles arrive on the scene.
The tower and the end of the Act does not collapse, making it impossible to progress to the boss through normal gameplay.
Expression error: Unexpected < operator.

You can find the boss area through edit mode, however. Twin Hammer never loads, but there are two curious pipe systems in the floor, which when entered move Sonic and Tails above the boxes Twin Hammers come out of.

Act 2
Sonic does not have a dedicated underwater palette.
Weird red foreground tiles can be found dotted around the stage.
The top part of the sky is always corrupted in this build.
The Eggpod is raised off the ground, and the game lets you jump over it and kill yourself.
Knuckles is standing on circular boss door parts rather than red girders. When he loads in, the background breaks. He also doesn't chuckle between hitting the Eggpod and falling off.
The Eggpod stops moving and the game soft-locks before reaching the area where Sonic and Tails would fight Beam Rocket and Big Arm.
