Longclaw is a character who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog live-action film. She is a motherly owl who takes in Sonic the Hedgehog as an adopted son.

Character conception
Longclaw was part of Jeff Fowler's story pitch for the Sonic movie early on during his time on the film. Although she was pitched as an old man, with Pat Casey and Josh Miller deciding to change the character's gender.[2] Her design being based on the owl carvings in Labyrinth Zone. At one point, Longclaw was planned to travel to Earth with Sonic and continue raising him there in isolation until she passes away from her wounds. Deleted scenes included as bonus features in DVD, Blu-ray and digital releases of the film feature this unused version. It is also the version of the scene adapted within the Sonic the Hedgehog: The Official Movie Novelization.

Longclaw was added to Sonic Forces: Speed Battle as a Special character featured in an event that ran from xxxx to xxxx as part of a promotion for the Sonic the Hedgehog film. She has maximum acceleration, high speed and average strength, and can use Lightning, Wind Boost and Cyclone Charge as items.
Sonic Dash
Longclaw was also added to Sonic Dash as a special event character to promote the Sonic the Hedgehog film.
