Edited part of the "fuzzy" monitor to mention that you can break it in game, will search for citation now.

-Flygon =P

The "Sonic flying" sprite IS found in game, even if it's difficult to see. Should it really be here?

Since its rare to find it's probably added so noone else will add it thinking its a new discovery.--MathUser 02:32, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Documenting location of art in ROMs

Perhaps a useful addition to this and other game secrets pages would be to provide the exact address of the discovered art in the ROMs. --PicklePower 05:09, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Splats True Coloring

Ok, the trading card and action figure both use the same pallette. There is no reason to think Splats was another color. Someone wanna fix the sprite to use the correct Genesis colors?--MUser 14:55, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

As much as I hate to agree with MathUser, it looks like there are two sources which show a gray Splats, so he might actually be right. Does anybody feel like testing all the possible palettes in SonMapEd and see if we can get a gray Splats? MainMemory in IRC just said that
<MainMemory> nineko: couldn't find a gray palette in any of the levelsNineko 16:20, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
Splats has to be either blue or pink (green in GHZ). - Hivebrain 17:19, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
The lack of a pallette for him in the ROM could just mean that they swapped out his pallette for another when they removed him from the game. Not that he was meant to be the wrong colors.--MUser 17:34, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
If they just swapped the palette, that would mean there were originally two sets of grey in one palette line, which would be redundant. The graphics we have work with the existing palette. - Hivebrain 18:22, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
It may work, but it's obvious the game creators never intended that to be the pallette. It is way off.--MUser 00:30, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

Floating Sonic Sprite

The Floating Sonic Sprite described here isn't unused: Game_Secrets:Sonic_the_Hedgehog_(16-bit)#Floating_Sonic_Sprite
The very thread it links to,
Sonic Retro
this thread
, says that it's used in the LZ tunnels, just a few posts below. Proof on imageshack. Nineko 17:27, 18 July 2010 (UTC)
So should that section just be removed from the article? Or maybe it should be left there just to make a point about the white stripe missing. --PicklePower 23:34, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
That particular animation is only used on the continue screen. The one in LZ is a different animation. - Hivebrain 23:45, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Static Monitors in SBZ

Technically the monitors which appear in Scrap Brain Zone's walls are using different (invalid) subtypes than the unused "Static" monitor (subtype 0). And as I noted in the Supreme Topic of 'Other' Knowledge, the SBZ monitors are actually incorrectly ID'd invisible blocks (the subtypes match the walls perfectly).
