Mecha Green Hill Zone, the fourth level in Sonic Chaos, is a corrupt, mechanical environment created entirely by Robotnik. Based on the original Green Hill Zone featured in Sonic 1 for Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, Robotnik's new Green Hill ground is deadily fragile, leading to the major challenge of this zone. Other then the slanted ground that reappears from Gigapolis zone, this zone is fairly easy. The boss is a simple, repetitive boss that attempts to shoot you from three different directions. The only difficulty is the control required to avoid hitting spikes. One interesting thing to note about this zone is that its music is a "Rough Mix" of the music from Green Hills Zone of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit) Template:SonicChaosLevels
