There is only one Special Stage accessible in this prototype. It is a relatively simple map with no real end state; Sonic just spins for eternity. Sonic can only jump with the button here - pressing speeds up the anti-clockwise direction, the clockwise direction, and pausing and unpausing with causes the stage to stop spinning entirely. Edit mode also does not work here.
